Hackathons

My second Canada Learning Code hackathon in 2018, addressed food waste in restaurants in Toronto. My group developed an app that used sales data of restaurants to predict stock demand to make more accurate orders and avoid over purchasing that often leads to food waste. We won the Ted Rogers Innovation Award of 2018.

My first Canada Learning code hackathon in 2017. To tackle homelessness in Toronto, my team designed an app that allowed for donation via credit/debit card via a QR code. Because of an increasingly cashless society people can't give money to homelessness people on the street. Also tackling the people's reluctance in giving money because they assume it will feed drug abuse.
